Faculties on one architecture
The problem
MUST's original website was slow, dated, and difficult for the university's own team to maintain. Ahead of a period of investor engagement, the university needed something credible and current fast — with the flexibility to become something more permanent later.
The approach
We rebuilt the site first in Framer, prioritizing speed to launch without sacrificing how it looked or read. Once that foundation had proven itself, we built a second, fully custom version from scratch — Astro, TypeScript, and Sanity CMS — with a bespoke design system, advanced interaction and animation work, and a content architecture the university's team runs independently.
The outcome
- Final build scores 90+ on Lighthouse performance — desktop 97, with a 97 accessibility score on mobile
- 32 degree programs across 4 faculties, fully content-managed
- A content system the university's marketing team operates without developer involvement
